Ambrose Washington Brown Family
Photo was taken on the family farm in North Star in 1904. The farmhouse was built by George Washington Iles, Ambrose's father-in-law, in 1869. Pictured, left to right, are: Orlo Brown (with pony), Augusta Brown, their mother Mary Jane Iles Brown, Milo Brown, Frank Brown, Altana Brown Shupe (holding baby Virgil 1904-1919), Edith Shupe Rynard, and George Brown (with dog). Orlo, Augusta, Milo, Frank, Altana & George are the children of Ambrose and Mary Jane. The only child not in the picture is Alfred Walter Brown.
